A prayer for the national day of prayer

In his life with us Jesus blessed some of the most depicable characters

He blessed an officer of the army occupying Israel
He blessed a woman caught in adultery
He blessed those who put him on the cross.

In the passage Matthew says took place on a Mount and Luke say on a Plain
Jesus blessed: the poor and the poor in spirit, those who mourn and the meek,
the hungry, the merciful, the pure in heart.

Jesus blessed peacemakers and those who are persecuted.

Our Lord continues to bless us of all races, creeds, political parties, genders and sexual preferences - all nations - no exceptions.

God loves and blesses you and me. All of us. Amen.
